THE AFGHAN REFUGEE RELIEF FUND

AN INITIATIVE OF AFGHAN REFUGEE RELIEF & AID OF MICHIGAN AND DOUBTING THOMAS RESEARCH FOUNDATION

Since the fall of Kabul in August, Christ-followers have been working alongside veterans, civilians, and people of all faiths to help US allies, family, friends, and others at great risk trapped in Afghanistan. Tens, if not hundreds of thousands of people are in hiding and in danger of being murdered by the Taliban for reasons including religious persecution and affiliation with Western forces. They have been forced to vanish from society, and are unable to provide for their families after previously working as police, interpreters, teachers, journalists, and more. These vulnerable Afghans are being helped by a network of thousands of people around the world who are working through various channels to help securely bring as many people as possible to safety.

Along the way, groups like the Afghan Rescue Project (sponsored by Doubting Thomas Research Foundation) and Afghan Refugee Relief and Aid have been working together to keep Afghans sheltered and fed as they work through a myriad of bureaucratic, safety, and financial related obstacles.

Afghanistan is currently facing the worst humanitarian crisis on earth, with 97% of people living in poverty. Women and children are at great risk in a country that affords women no right to work, where girls can’t attend school past 11, and children across the country are starving. It is our hope that you will join with us to show Jesus’ love to these people who are living under such hard and life threatening circumstances. Your gift will provide food, shelter and basic needs, as well as opportunities for safe travel to those with options to escape.
